Jumpsuit uniform

ETA: I tried it on, loved how it fit, especially the way the top drapes in the back. Wilfred and Aritzia shops don't have dressing room mirrors, only a large common-area one, which I'm assuming is a way to dissuade photographs? At any rate, I found the sizing to be normal. The 6 fit, I could probably have sized down to a 4, but then the pants might have been too tight. The top fit loose, but that's typical for me. The fabric is also quite substantial. It would work best as a transitional piece during the spring and fall.

I saw this Wilfred Emouvant Jumpsuit in the shop window at Aritzia and am seriously considering it in black. I have no idea if the fit will work on me, but I'm increasingly drawn to the one-piece as an easy uniform option.

Chicago is for {Conference} Lovers

I'm off to Chicago tomorrow to present a paper. Today I'm meeting with students for 4 hours, polishing my paper, and finalizing my packing list. It's always challenging to pack for a cold and slushy conference destination when you're also planning on being outside for most of the time.

This is what I have so far--

I haven't quite decided to wear during my time off. Maybe a fancier top for dinner and drinks on Thursday, and then a button down shirt, fisherman sweater, and jeans for Friday.

My schedule is wide open Thursday afternoon until Friday afternoon. Any recommendations?

Mine.

Lizzy Disney black loop bag from Ewanika. I got it for $180 plus tax. I'm picking it up on Friday or Saturday. So excited to have my first grown-up bag!

p.s., Imagine a 22 month old saying "mine," and that's basically me scoring an amazing deal.

Winter Skin SOS

I am pretty lazy when it comes to skincare, but this neverending winter demands attention. These are the products that I use on a daily basis.
My skin needs constant exfoliation, but it also dries out quickly. This Red Currant cleanser manages to slough off the rough bits without stripping my skin completely. It also smells delicious, as does pretty much everything from Eminence.

I use the Eight Greens Serum after washing my face. Apparently it helps with breakouts related to hormonal imbalance. All I can say is after over 10 years of painfully challenging skin, things have turned around. It's been nearly a year, and it's still working. One bottle will last 3-4 months. A little goes a long way.
I just started using this Herbal Recovery Oil. I put it on just before bed, and I wake up with perfectly hydrated skin even if the radiators are going full blast all night.

I don't wear lipstick, but this Korres tinted lip butter goes on so smoothly and doesn't have that sticky tacky feel like so many lipglosses do. It's also perfect for those of us who aren't so confident applying lipstick.

The Earth Tu Face Skin Stick stays in my bag at all times. I use it for my lips and hands to combat windchill and excessive handwashing.
