antidote to the doldrums

linen romper, originally uploaded by ellybeth.
the ever talented elly has made a darling linen romper for these ridiculously hot days. i used to be on the fence about rompers, but countless hours spent at the playground has made me want to replace my skirts with rompers and jumpsuits.

for the winter months just around the corner, a pair of wool overalls by chimala (at lark)

I absolutely love the idea of wool overalls - I have some charcoal coloured wool/cashmere that could work but probably best in something felted or worsted. I love the front of these ones, but not so much the back waist - a bit like waders. Everything else about them is super though, including that rich matte black.

ask caitlin about the mociun wool overalls from a couple of years ago. fantastic.

mociun wool overalls? really? now that i wish i had seen!

the back of the chimala overalls is a bit tricky, definitely. would love to see how you would design a pair, catherine!

I agree!
I think the key for me to finally buy one is to find one that suits my style and needs.
Now it's my go-to when I need to wear something comfy and cute on a bike ride or on a picnic.
Go for it!
