two pieces by etoile isabel marant s/s 10

zita striped sweater in black and white. made of the softest cotton in a loose knit, cropped length and keyhole neckline. i've learned one can never have too many striped tops. from stuart and wright.
also available in various colorways at:
satine
creatures of comfort
metier

urias silk top in a star print. i bought this a month ago at alan bilzerian. i considered returning it, but they have a 5 day store credit only policy that i didn't know about until it was too late. every time i put this top on, i can't bring myself to wear it. i have visions of ketchup or worse ruining it. living with a toddler is a major hazard to my wardrobe. will probably end up selling it on LoGE since i envision the next 5-8 years of my life either pregnant, nursing, or chasing after toddlers.

Damn, that sweater is fantastic.

The sweater is great, but I'm kind of really digging the silk star top.

Both cute,
I don't have a toddler, but I'd still manage to wreck them. Aything that I own that is light in color inevitably develops a stain.

Babies and toddlers: mine destroyed a blue sweater from Petit Bateau yesterday hours after purchase in Paris. Your photo 2 shows Leon's nail pulling on a thread of your sweater: I am familiar with that failure mode as well.

the thread on the sweater! lol i hope it didn't get pulled out completely. i got the same sweater in paris in cream. best purchase ever! the stripes are just lovely and i do agree - you can never have too many stripes!

hah, mona, good eye! thankfully i caught it in time. the loose knit also helps, but living with 2 cats has taught me that no knit is safe. hazards abound!

romaine,
nope, still no new skinny jeans. feb. got lost in the shuffle, somehow.

for a moment i got mixed up and thought the blouse was another designer - that is why the above comment is deleted.

Isabel marant is my favorite designer, thanks so much for showing how these pieces look on - they both look awesome/stunning on you. i am sorry the blouse will not work for you in a practical way because the colors are so pretty against your skin tone and hair.

i love the sweater on you, erica! can i ask what size you got? isabel is so tough to order over the phone.

also, i hear you about babies and silk not meshing. i refuse to buy silk now, though that doesn't keep me from coveting all the pretty spring silk tops and dresses!

the sweater is a size 2. it's cropped and a bit fitted, so the 2 is roomy and adds a little extra length. i'm usually a 1 or 2 in Etoile.

funny how i didn't mind spit up on cashmere, but silk, that's another story.
